RETURN TO BASE WARRANTY
Figtek warrants that the goods supplied will be of merchantable quality and free from defects in materials and workmanship.
Where the Purchaser provides manufacturing drawings or specifications to Figtek, the goods will be manufactured and supplied in accordance with the agreed drawings and specifications.
Standard Warranty Period
The standard warranty period is twelve (12) months from the date of delivery of the goods.
Where a defect covered by warranty is identified during the Warranty Period, Figtek may, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective goods or relevant component.
Where goods or components are repaired or replaced under warranty, the repaired or replacement goods or components will carry a further twelve (12) month warranty from the date the repair or replacement is completed.
Return to Base Warranty
This warranty is provided on a Return to Base basis.
Where Figtek determines that machinery, equipment, parts or components must be returned for warranty assessment, diagnosis or repair, the customer is responsible for arranging and covering the costs associated with transporting the machinery, equipment, part or component to Figtek's nominated service location.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Figtek, freight, transport, removal, reinstallation, travel and associated logistics costs are not covered under warranty.
Warranty assessment will be carried out once the machinery, equipment, part or component has been received by Figtek or its nominated service provider.
Labour Charges
Labour charges are not covered under warranty, unless otherwise expressly agreed by Figtek in writing. Any onsite labour, technician travel, accommodation or other associated service costs may be chargeable to the customer.
Payment Requirements
Warranty coverage is conditional upon the customer's account remaining within the agreed payment terms.
All invoices must be paid within 15 days of receipt, unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.
Failure to settle outstanding invoices within the required timeframe may result in the suspension or termination of warranty coverage until the account has been brought up to date.
Extended Warranty and Machine Location
Any extended warranty is conditional upon the machinery remaining at the location at which it was originally commissioned by Figtek.
If the machinery is relocated, transported or recommissioned at another location without the involvement of a qualified Figtek representative, the extended warranty will become null and void.
Where machinery is to be relocated, Figtek should be contacted prior to the move so that appropriate arrangements can be made for relocation, reinstallation and recommissioning.
CNC Router Warranty Conditions
For all Figtek CNC Routers, the approved Figtek post processors must be used. The use of an unauthorised, modified or third-party post processor may void the machine warranty where the use of that post processor causes or contributes to the fault or damage.
Fiber Laser Warranty Conditions
For Figtek Fiber Laser machines, the warranty provides for one (1) approved replacement of the fiber laser source, where the source failure is determined to be covered under warranty.
Following the first replacement, any subsequent repair or replacement of the fiber laser source may incur additional charges.
Where subsequent repairs or replacements are required, associated freight and shipping costs will be borne by the customer.
Warranty Assessment
All warranty claims are subject to assessment by Figtek to determine whether the reported fault is covered under the applicable warranty.
Warranty coverage does not extend to faults or damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modification, incorrect operation, improper maintenance, unauthorised relocation or installation, or failure to operate the machinery in accordance with Figtek's instructions and requirements.
